Information Gathering
When planning to rent a Ferris wheel in California, the first step is obtaining a cost estimate. We need some essential information: Where in California is your event located? When will it take place? What are the desired hours of operation? You can share this information with us by calling or filling out our contact form. With these details, we can typically provide a proposal with pricing. Since others may be booking events on the same date, it’s best to initiate this process as early as possible.
Contract and Date Reservation
If you agree to our proposal and wish to secure a Ferris wheel for your event date in California, we will provide you with a comprehensive contract. This document will outline all the operational details of the Ferris wheel, including any optional enhancements like branding, customization, or additional effects. To confirm your reservation, we require the signed contract and a deposit. Once received, your event will be added to our schedule. We will then arrange any necessary state inspections and provide you with an insurance certificate, listing you as an “additional insured” upon request.
Setup and Operational Tests
Our Ferris wheel will arrive via semi-truck, so we need an accessible path to the setup area. It’s ideal to clear the space at least 24 hours prior to the event. We can provide you with the required dimensions for the setup based on your selected ride. Additionally, we will need a location no further than 150 feet away to set up the power generator. After setup is complete, we will conduct operational tests to ensure safety and compliance.
Inspections and Permits
Typically, amusement rides are subject to state regulations and require inspection. We will arrange for any required inspections in California, and there will be no extra cost to you. Local permits, below the state level, are usually not required. Any zoning, electrical, or local permits fall under the renter’s responsibility.
Operation and Rider Safety
We provide the trained staff necessary to set up, operate the ride, and manage riders in the designated area. Our team is educated in rider safety and conduct. If any behavior—whether due to alcohol or rowdiness—endangers rider safety, we are obligated to shut down the ride. Please note that we do not provide staff or security for large crowds or lines outside the immediate ride area.
End of Event Tear Down
Once your event concludes, we will efficiently dismantle and remove all equipment from the site—usually within 6 to 8 hours. However, this timeframe may vary based on the time of day and weather conditions at the event’s end. At rentaferriswheel.us and Janesky Brothers Amusements, our goal is to make your event in California as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.
